Deandre Ayton sees himself in Phoenix with Devin Booker creating Shaq and Kobe 2.0 for Suns

On CBS Sports Radio Saturday, Ayton was asked about which team he would like to play for. His answer should raise eyebrows for all involved with the Suns.

Even though Deandre Ayton is likely to be the top pick in this year’s draft, does he have a possible preference for who wins the lottery? Well, it sure seems like the Phoenix import from the Bahamas is content staying right where he is for a lot longer.

He even believes if he had the chance to pair up with Devin Booker, they could re-create the magic Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal had together over a decade ago in Los Angeles.

It gets even better because the next morning Ayton noticed Bright Side’s tweet and threw an eye emoji back our way.

It will likely take the Suns winning the lottery to obtain Ayton’s services, but is the first glimpse of positive momentum heading their way for that all-important night on May 15?

After seeing Phoenix drop from 2 to 4 in back-to-back lotteries, they will need all the luck they can get if they are locked in on Arizona's big man to cap off their young Big 3 of Booker, Ayton, and Josh Jackson.
