Phoenix Suns finish No. 1 in draft lottery for first time in franchise history

Phoenix has finally pulled off the near impossible. #TheTimeline has officially been capped off with their top pick.

Finally, the curse has been broken.

50 years after losing the coin toss to Milwaukee for Lew Alcindor, the Suns have finally pulled it off and landed the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft.

Coming into the lottery, Phoenix had the best odds at 25% to pull this off. Luckily, the odds stayed in their favor.

Now, the debate begins: Deandre Ayton or Luka Doncic at No. 1?

Here are the results:

  1. Phoenix Suns
  2. Sacramento Kings
  3. Atlanta Hawks
  4. Memphis Grizzlies
  5. Dallas Mavericks
  6. Orlando Magic
  7. Chicago Bulls
  8. Cleveland Cavaliers
  9. New York Knicks
  10. Philadelphia 76ers
  11. Charlotte Hornets
  12. Los Angeles Clippers (via Detroit)
  13. Los Angeles Clippers
  14. Denver Nuggets
