Celebrate, Phoenix fans. A couple of guys associated with the Suns are receiving some offseason accolades. And we’re all about the offseason here.
Archie Goodwin and Josh Gray of the Northern Arizona Suns have been invited to participate in the 2018 NBA G League Elite Mini Camp in Chicago.
These two are definitely elite.

Josh Gray and Archie Goodwin have been invited to the ninth annual @nbagleague Elite Mini Camp!https://t.co/5XMS7ThUdf pic.twitter.com/PSqNci7x2j
The two-day scouting event features the top talent the G League has to offer. Presently thirty-nine athletes are expected to attend. The camp will be help May 14th and 15th at Chicago’s Quest Multisport Gym.
Gray played in this event last year. He ended up playing for the Orlando Magic’s Summer League team. Gray was called up from Northern Arizona last season, earning a pair of 10-day contracts.
Goodwin was once the future of the Phoenix franchise. Then he wasn’t. Now he is again, obviously. His original stint with the Suns was followed by time with the New Orleans Pelicans, Greensboro Swarm, Brooklyn Nets, and Portland Trail Blazers.
He joined the NAZ Suns on January 7th. Last season Goodwin averaged 19.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.6 steals, and led all guards with a 52.8 shooting percentage. Goodwin is 23 years old.
I don’t know if this is the kind of thing that is televised anywhere, but the G League does a good job getting its product out on a variety of platforms. Check out Facebook Live or Twitch.
