After Jason Kidd was canned 45 games into last season, Prunty was given the reins for the remainder of the campaign. He coached the Bucks to a 21-16 record in those 37 games and pushed the Celtics to seven games before making a first-round exit.
Prunty interviewed for the Bucks job. Milwaukee eventually settled for former Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer.
The 49-year-old is the veteran of 15 NBA seasons. Before his time in Milwaukee, he spent time as an assistant with the Nets, Cavs, Blazers, Mavs, and Spurs.
Prunty was the head coach of the Great Britain men’s national basketball team from 2013-2017.
