Ok Suns fans, you can take a breath.
The news that the Phoenix faithful have been furiously refreshing their social media accounts to learn has not yet been revealed. Following a three-hour meeting on Tuesday between Devin Booker and Suns’ management, team and player have yet to reach an agreement on a long-term deal.
But we’re getting closer.
The Suns and Devin Booker had a productive meeting this afternoon. The paramaters of a maximum contract extension were discussed and there is mutual interest from both sides.

You have to decide if there is an option year, what percentage between 25-30% of the cap he gets if he’s All-NBA next season and whether he needs to be first team like Embiid last year. So some negotiation needed there, not completely simple.

Max money is what we’re talking, but as you can read above, there are some finer points to iron out.
The moratorium will conclude on Friday. Then we’ll learn if Booker, Suns’ owner Robert Sarver, general manager Ryan McDonough, and president of basketball operations James Jones are able to strike a deal.
