Ok, Phoenix basketball fans. Here’s an opportunity to do some good.
August marks the launch of the annual “Mercury Madness” fundraiser, constructed by the Phoenix Mercury. This initiative aims to send underprivileged youth in the Phoenix area to their first Mercury game this month. And your donation can make it happen.
If you’re interested in contributing to the cause, click on this link. Use the promo code BMarsee.
If you want to do this over the phone you can talk to Mercury Basketball Communications Manager Bryce Marsee directly at (602) 379-7930. Or you can email him at bmarsee@suns.com.
Whichever fan is lucky enough to attend a game thanks to your donation is likely to see a good one. Seven games remain on the Mercury schedule after tonight, five of those at home.
Right now the Mercury are bouncing back and forth between the #4 and #5 seed in the WNBA Playoffs. Eight teams qualify, and they don’t want to slip back to #7 or #8 where they may have to play the Seattle Storm or the Atlanta Dream who have rattled off eight straight wins.
So it’s important basketball. And you can help a young person be a part of it for as little as $10. Think about contributing. Go Mercury!
