This week, we divide and conquer to provide you with a great episode of the Solar Panel.
First, Tim and Greg talk over the latest Suns news, and pick their most important takeaways from the Phoenix Suns schedule release, including strength of schedule and big games.
Then, Dave brings you an exclusive interview with ESPN Front Office Insider Bobby Marks, who grades the Suns offseason — Bobby says Ayton was the clear No. 1 pick, for example — and talks about what Ryan McDonough has to do to keep his job past the upcoming season.
Similar to David Griffin’s history with the Suns, Marks started as an intern for the Nets in 1995 and eventually made his way into Assistant GM under Billy King from 2010-2015. He then left the Nets to do NBA analysis, first with The Vertical/Yahoo! Sports and and now at ESPN. Marks provides great insight on how a front office works.
And finally, we have a fun back-and-forth in a rapid fire “would you rather” segment on various Suns topics such as:
- a 99 rating on 2K, or winning a dunk contest
- Suns title while Lakers win 10, or no titles for either
- Booker improve D, or Jackson improves J
- New PG, or keep the 2019 first
- and many more!
