The results of the NBA’s annual rookie survey have been revealed, and all indications point towards Deandre Ayton being the best first-year player in the league. For the first year, anyway.

In fact, Ayton collected 18% of the votes among his peers, the same percentage as Collin Sexton of the Cleveland Cavaliers. But look, Sexton isn’t winning the award and Ayton is, so we have that to look forward to.
When asked who will have the most accomplished career, Ayton was fourth on the list. Wendell Carter of the Chicago Bulls, Kevin Knox of the New York Knicks, and Jerome Robinson of the LA Clippers went 1-2-3. Earning 7% of the vote with Ayton was Suns wing Mikal Bridges.
Bridges was also chosen as the fourth-best defender in the draft class, behind Jevon Carter of the Memphis Grizzlies, Mohamed Bamba of the Orlando Magic, and Josh Okogie of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Lots to argue about here. Check out the the full results of the 2018 NBA Rookie Survey.
