We’re nearing the start of Brandon Knight’s 2018-19 campaign for the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award. Before that he’s going to give out some free stuff to children in the Margate, Florida community.

Saturday’s event is free to attend and will be held at Firefighters Park in Margate. Free backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, food and games will be available for local kids.
Knight played high school basketball at nearby Pine Crest in Fort Lauderdale. While at Pine Crest he was twice named Florida Mr. Basketball and won Gatorade National Player of the Year honors. He was the first student athlete from Florida to be named National Player of the Year.
Knight maintained a 4.3 grade point average in high school. He is second all-time on the high school scoring list in Florida.
