Locked On Suns Tuesday: Rudy Gay ruins Suns’ perfect night

Despite playing one of their best games of the season, the Suns lost, 126-124, on a last-second dagger by Rudy Gay.

We break down the Suns’ agonizing 126-124 last-second loss to Rudy Gay and the Spurs, their third loss at the buzzer in January.

Despite the misfortune of Gay’s shot going in over great defense from Mikal Bridges, Phoenix should feel great about how they played. The Suns shot 60 percent from the field and closed the game with a miniature lineup featuring Kelly Oubre Jr. at center.

Devin Booker also turned in a highlight-reel performance, scoring 38 points on 14-19 shooting in one of his best games of the year.
