According to Shams Charania, the Phoenix Suns are preparing to sign 6 year NBA vet Quincy Acy to a 10-day contract.
The Phoenix Suns are planning to sign veteran forward Quincy Acy to a 10-day contract, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @WatchStadium.

Acy is a 28 year old, 6’7” small forward/power forward who played with the Brooklyn Nets last season and averaged 5.9 points and 3.7 rebounds per game in 19.4 minutes. He played in 70 games, started in 8 for Brooklyn and has a career three point average of 35.6%.
In 2012 he was drafted in the second round (37th) by the Toronto Raptors. He also spent time with the Sacramento Kings (2 stints), New York Knicks and the Dallas Mavericks before joining the Nets in 2017. He was previously unsigned for the 2018-2019 season.
Acy is not the answer for the Suns as a backup PF but he could provide some much needed help in three point shooting and rebounding off the bench for short spurts. For the price of a 10-day contract, Acy seems worth a look.
Here’s a bit of analysis on Acy’s game during his time with Brooklyn.
