Locked On Suns Wednesday: Deandre Ayton disappears again in loss at Dallas

The same concerning signs flared up again for the No. 1 pick as the Suns fell to the Mavs, 104-94, on the road.

We break down the Suns’ double-digit loss on the road on the second night of a back-to-back in Dallas and why Deandre Ayton’s disappearing act is so alarming.

Ayton put up just six points and five rebounds one night after riding the bench during the decisive third quarter comeback against Sacramento at home. Is this just a normal up and down season for the rookie or the sign of something more worrisome down the road?

On the other hand, the inconsistent Josh Jackson appears to have turned a corner during holidays and has sharpened into a valuable role player for the Suns.

There were lots of lessons to learn from the second straight game without Devin Booker.
