Open Thread: Your Suns host the IT, Beal and the Washington Wizards

NBA: Washington Wizards at Denver Nuggets Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

On the surface, you’d think the Suns would have an easy game against the Washington Wizards, who are only 5-10 on the season and have the league’s second-worst defense.

But then you look again.

Bradley Beal averaged almost 40 and 10 against the Suns last year.

Thomas Bryant put up something like 40/20 games on 100% shooting. I might be slightly off, but not by much.

Ish Smith and Isaiah Thomas both might post revenge games in their old building.

Davis Bertans nearly led the league in three-point shooting last year with the Spurs.

So yeah, Ricky Rubio returns tonight. And the Suns had a couple days off to rest. And the Suns are at home. Hopefully, that’s enough to overcome outsized games from a bunch of players that feast on the Suns.
