This week Phoenix Suns fans were treated to a look at what will be the revamped Talking Stick Resort Arena.
Project 201, the $230 million dollar enterprise, is supposed to be completed before the start of next season. Here’s what we have so far:

I guess that’s not really video is it? Poor choice of words, Keith.
Here’s how your Suns are describing the project:
“Like an oasis in the middle of an urban desert, this building became the focal point for sports and entertainment at the heart of Phoenix. It gave life to a downtown community and gave it purpose.
Over the past 27 years, the city has blossomed from our corner on 1st and Jefferson in practically every direction. It’s time for a REVIVAL, to raise the bar from what we have come to expect of a sports and entertainment arena and give Phoenicians and our guests from around the world a premium experience destination.”
The thing is happening, so I don’t know that there is a lot of value in furthering the debate regarding the burden to taxpayers. Also, I live in Las Vegas, not Phoenix, so I have my own dumb stadium thing to worry about.
In any event it will be nice for locals to watch the Suns steamroll their way to the Western Conference Finals next season in a renovated pad. The Suns had one more thing to share.
“If you are interested in being a part of this historic redesign, we encourage you to reserve your spot for the start of the 2020-2021 Suns season by filling out the form below.”
You don’t think an early push for season tickets is happening because your Suns are 5-3, do you? Nooooooo. They wouldn’t do that.
