Sure, it’s only Jimmer’s second NBA game in three years. But the Phoenix Suns are so short on playable bodies that if Jimmer Fredette somehow makes most of his early shots in the game, I can totally see him getting 25+ minutes against the Jazz tonight.
The Suns have already ruled out most of the wings in the Suns regular rotation, leaving only Devin Booker, Mikal Bridges, Jimmer Fredette and Troy Daniels to play nearly all of the 96 available wing minutes.
On Saturday night, the Kings fans gave Jimmer a standing ovation when he checked into the game in the first half. The Kings were his first NBA franchise, back when the world thought there was a chance he might be better than Stephen Curry (circa 2011).
Tonight, he’s in Utah where his legend became a reality as he played for the BYU Cougars, when his four-year career culminated in a First Team All-America nod and the selection as the 10th player off the board in the NBA draft.
Seems like if Jimmer is going to have a supernova game, it might as well be in first of his Utah fans right?
Let’s play a game.
How many points does Jimmer score tonight. For perspective, he scored 0 points on Saturday against the Kings (0-1 from the field in 4 minutes), and his NBA career high in 236 games is 24 points in a game.
