We got a Woj bomb! We got a Woj bomb! The Phoenix Suns are mentioned in a Woj bomb!
Except it’s not the one you wanted...
The Sacramento Kings are hiring former Suns coach Igor Kokoskov as an assistant coach, league source tells ESPN.

Fired two months ago by the Suns as head coach after only one season, the 19-year NBA assistant coach Igor Kokoskov will go back to his roots and join the Kings staff as an assistant coach for next year on Luke Walton’s new staff.
Walton has been under scrutiny since taking the Kings job, but the chance for Igor to work with the Kings’ rotation must be making him so excited he can’t sleep at night. His passing offense should work super well with De’Aaron Fox running the show, flanked by Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic, with Marvin Bagley III sprinting down the middle for a finish at the rim.

Good for Igor!
And good for the Suns getting a new coaching staff, which should be finalized in the coming days once Willie Green becomes officially available. Willie Green is currently an assistant coach for Steve Kerr’s Golden State Warriors, who are playing tonight in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. Once Green’s season is over, I expect the Suns staff under Monty Williams should be ready to go.
