If the story of Nathan Patterson, his 96 MPH fastball and his new contract with the Oakland A’s inspired you, perhaps it’s time to lace up the Jordans and head to Prescott Valley.
The Northern Arizona Suns announced this week they will hold an open tryout at the Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona, to find the next undiscovered talent. For the low price of just $150, you can work out in front of Suns executives and potentially get signed to a contract in the NBA G League.

The team has done this in the past as well, but maybe playing with George King or Anthony Bennett wasn’t enough in the past. Think about what it will be like to get on the court with Jalen Lecque or get bullied by Jevon Carter. Sounds fun (also being a professional basketball player is a pretty sweet job compared with most people’s gigs)!
Patterson recently signed into the A’s minor league system after several pitching competitions in which he hit the mid-90s. After recent surgery to his non-throwing arm, Patterson finally flashed a 96 MPH fastball this week and was promptly signed by Oakland.
You could be the next diamond in the rough!
