It seems like every couple of weeks this year, the Suns are notching another “best win of the season,” and fans are deservedly lopping it up like a dog with a just-filled water bowl.
On Monday night, the Phoenix Suns beat the Utah Jazz for only the second time in Devin Booker’s five year career, and the first time since December of 2017. They had lost 14 out of 15 for those keeping track.
Devin Booker is 1-14 vs. Utah in his career. Lone win came in October of 2017, when Alex Len and Tyler Ulis combined for 26 points off the bench. Bledsoe was traded two weeks later for the draft pick PHX used to acquire Ty Jerome and Aron Baynes last Draft night

So you imagine some satisfaction Booker might be feeling last night and this morning after a tough day of travel to Kobe’s memorial service at Staples.
In that game, Ricky Rubio became the first Suns player with 20 or more points, 10 or more assists and seven or more steals in a game since some dude named Kevin Johnson more than 20 years ago. Take that, Utah.
Just two weeks ago, the Suns snapped a 13-game losing streak to the Rockets in impressive fashion in the 36-point win.
Nine days before that, they blew the doors off the streaking Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks by 25 points in Dallas.
A week and a half before that, they walloped the Celtics in Boston — a game that the Suns led pretty much from wire to wire, kept close only by Marcus Smart’s career shooting night. The Suns had lost seven of their last nine to the Celtics before that game.
Just before that, they snapped a 10-game losing streak to the Blazers, beating them in Portland in December for the franchise’s first win over the Blazers in four years.
That’s all in the last two months, but don’t let us forget that fun 7-4 start to the season, highlighted by a number of impressive wins.
The year began with a shellacking of the Kings and Clippers at home to let everyone know these Suns are better than everyone thought they’d be, followed closely by the win at home over the Sixers. The Suns had lost 12 straight games to the Clippers before that big win.
And don’t forget that magical 29-point lead over the Warriors — with a healthy Steph in there, along with fellow All-Stars D’Angelo Russell and Draymond Green — was a joy to behold as well. Before that, the Suns had lost 15 of the 16 games since Booker was drafted.
The Suns have some big wins this year!
