Thursday night the NBA universe will learn if the league’s best team, your Phoenix Suns will be fortunate enough to collect the top pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
The margins are slim, though not as slim as in years past. James Jones will be representing the Suns, who hold a 13.9% chance of earning a top-4 pick, and a 3.0% chance of picking first overall. You can read more about it from BSOTS’s Dave King here.
To be sure, a top pick for Phoenix would send crippling fear throughout the NBA’s Western Conference as the Suns torched their bubble competition in Orlando, en route to establishing their dominance in the Association for years to come.
There will be other teams, albeit with futures not nearly as bright, representing their respective clubs in a virtual fashion Thursday night
- Atlanta Hawks Jami Gertz (ownership group)
- Charlotte Hornets Devonte’ Graham
- Chicago Bulls Artūras Karnišovas
- Cleveland Cavaliers Brad Daugherty
- Detroit Pistons Troy Weaver (GM)
- Golden State Warriors Steph Curry
- Memphis Grizzlies Elliot Perry (minority owner)
- Minnesota Timberwolves D’Angelo Russell
- New Orleans Pelicans Trajan Langdon (GM)
- New York Knicks Leon Rose (president)
- Phoenix Suns James Jones (GM)
- Sacramento Kings De’Aaron Fox
- San Antonio Spurs Peter J. Holt (chairman)
- Washington Wizards Rui Hachimura
Just over an hour from now, from Chicago, sort of, the future for your Suns gets even brighter. ESPN after Bucks/Magic. Tune in.
