It’s a business. I get it. Truly, I do.
Still, I loved Jevon Carter and now another of my favorites is gone.
If you haven’t seen the news, now former Phoenix Suns’ forward Torrey Craig signed a deal to join the Indiana Pacers.
Torrey Craig leaving the suns got me feelin

He came to Phoenix in the middle of last season in a trade for…cash considerations. That was an absolute steal for the Suns as he played a key role in our Finals run.
As our own John Voita said, Torrey’s physicality and effort on the boards will be missed. He was a welcomed addition that played a vital role for us.
Now, don’t get me wrong. This is no knock on Abdel Nader and I’m glad to have “Pyramid Papi” back in the Valley. And I know a big reason why the team traded for Craig was to step in while Nader was out hurt.
This is an appreciation post, and Torrey filled in admirably for Abdel.
Also, I want to take a moment to say I’m happy for “the Juice” as he got himself a little bag. Well deserved. He was practically given up on around the league and fought to find a role, which he did in Phoenix. The man again was a huge reason why this team outperformed expectations.
For his short time here, Torrey Craig quickly became one of my favorite Suns, and I'm sure that applies to many of you guys. One thing for damn sure he deserved more than that Veteran minimum he was playing on. Good luck @TCraig_23 @Pacers

Thank you, Torrey.
Whenever I would ask my boys who their favorite players on the Suns were during the playoffs, he would be one of the first named.
How couldn’t he be? He was intense, played with fire, made defense look fun and had some poster dunks. The crowd would go wild many times due to one of his plays.
Torrey, if you see this, I just want to thank you for everything. Like Jevon, you were a part of the culture switch this team made. Your stats didn’t stand out either, though you had a more key role. You were intense, full of hustle and empty of chill.
I’ll miss you and want to take a moment to thank you for all you did in our deep playoff run.
You’re only 6-foot-7 but you played a lot bigger and were quick to take any defensive assignment and chase down rebounds, no matter how far away.
I’m glad you are going somewhere you should still have a good role and the Pacers could use your contagious drive and defensive tenacity.
Good luck, Torrey!
