Phoenix Suns Summer League roster rundown: there’s Jalen Smith and... who?

Summer league is about to begin for us, Suns fans. Games begin this Sunday, with your favorite bespectacled power forward slash center Jalen Smith, the 10th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, leading the way for the Summer Suns.

All games will be televised on ESPN, ESPN2 or NBATV this year.

Here is the Summer Suns official roster, as announced by the team late this week.

The ones you know are Jalen Smith and Ty-Shon Alexander.

Jalen Smith – PF/C
6-10 215, 21 years old

• Barely played as a rookie on the Western Conference Champion, Phoenix Suns
• 2020-21 Stats: scored 53 points and grabbed 37 rebounds in 156 minutes
• Spent 2 seasons at Maryland before entering the Draft
• Averaged 15.5 points (60% FG, 37% 3P), 10.5 rebounds, 2.4 blocks as a 19 year old sophomore

Ty-Shon Alexander, SG
6-3, 195, 23 years old

• Signed two-way contract with Phoenix Suns as undrafted free agent
• 2020-21 Stats: scored 10 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 47 minutes
• Spent 3 seasons at Creighton before declaring for the Draft
• Averaged 16.9 points (47% FG, 40% 3P), 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists as a junior
