Suns Injury Report: Big Three (still) on hold, Kevin Durant out tonight against Warriors

Bradley Beal is available for the Phoenix Suns. Devin Booker is healthy. It’s all lining up for the Suns’ Big Three to make their debut. But alas, an injured ankle that Kevin Durant sustained in the loss against the Los Angeles Lakers last Tuesday will ultimately negate his availability this evening.

This will be the fourth game that Durant has missed this season and the second consecutive game in which he will be sidelined. Through 22 games this season, we’ve yet to see Booker, Beal, and Durant all play.

Yes, we will continue to wait. And you know what? That’s okay.

A conversation we’ve had way too often this season continues; one that centers around our greed for seeing the Big Three versus the importance of health and long-term success. Of course we want to finally see what it looks like to have Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal on the floor together. But if KD’s not right — especially regarding his ankles — he should sit.

Tip off is tonight at 8:00pm on TNT, and while Durant is out, it will be interesting to see how Booker and Beal navigate the back court together.
