A number of ex-Phoenix Suns players are still without contracts

+

The whirlwind of Free Agency 2023 had us eagerly looking to the future, constantly refreshing our feeds to see who would be the next addition to the 2023-24 Phoenix Suns, helping strengthen the team around the core of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and Deandre Ayton. Notifications were lighting up our mobile devices like persistent messages from an ex who had something important to share. With each new signing, it meant that a former member of the team would not be making a return. As of now, many of these former players remain unsigned by any NBA team. Does this signify that they were clearly not the right fit for the 2022-23 squad? Or perhaps, have they moved beyond their prime to the point where no team is willing to bring them in even at the veteran minimum? Is there no longer a demand for experienced veterans in the locker room, guiding and mentoring young players on the intricacies of the Association?
